Under the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program (EDP) a person with a disability is defined as anyone whose impairment restricts his or her ability for regular employment.
What does the program offer?
The Entrepreneurs with Disabilities program provides assistance to entrepreneurs with disabilities, by helping them with market research and market and business plan development.
- reduce barriers for entrepreneur with disabilities who wish to start or expand their own business.
- create jobs and growth in urban and rural communities for entrepreneurs with disabilities.
- offer self-employment and entrepreneurship as an option to people with disabilities.
- help to develop customized business plans
- mentoring and counseling services
- training in business development

Who is eligible?
Entrepreneurs from Saskatchewan meeting the following basic criteria may be considered for funding:
- Have been unsuccessful in acquiring funding for business from other sources.
- Are restricted in the ability to perform at least one of the basic activities of entrepreneurship or self-employment.
- Have a viable business plan and are a new or current small business owner with a disability.
